Chalet Sous les Bois is a traditional Savoyard Farmhouse that is just a 5 minutes drive from Chamonix town centre, the ski area of Les Houches and the linked ski area of Brevent & La Flegere.
With many chalets laying claim to the tag of luxury these days Chalet Sous Les Bois certainly delivers, and can rightfully be included as one of Chamonix's finest chalets. This chalet has been renovated and its interior crafted to create an atmosphere at once both refined and relaxed. And, with every second chalet now offering en-suites and hot tubs Chalet Sous Les Bois goes one step further by not only offering this, but by providing the ultimate in luxury - space.
Set over two floors and boasting an impressive 260m2 of living space Chalet Sous Les Bois can accommodate 8 guests in the utmost style. The chalet not only has a cosy living room with a wide screen plasma TV and DVD player, but also a large independent dining room with sofas and a log fire to one end. Also on the ground floor, there is a large boot room with under floor heating, an entrance hall and a beautiful, rustic, farmhouse kitchen.
Upstairs, there are four spacious en-suite bedrooms. Each of these rooms has a set of French doors that lead out on to a balcony, which make the most of the chalet's spectacular views. All the en-suite bedrooms have both a bath and a shower and all the bedrooms have super king size beds.
The chalet has a large garden and is set in a small picturesque hamlet with a private driveway leading up to it.
At this chalet the aim is to provide up market accommodation, with the emphasis on delicious food and wine and a welcoming and friendly service. And, as owner/operator, we are also able to provide that special home from home feel, coupled with an insider's knowledge of the Chamonix Valley.
There is also a complementary in-resort minibus service to drive you to and from the ski areas in the valley, as well as into Chamonix. This service runs between 8 am to 10 pm. |

Catering: | ::back to top | | Our food is an integral part of your holiday experience. A professional chef is only ever employed and we are confident that you will eat at least as well in this chalet as in any of the local restaurants or hotels in Chamonix.
A typical day will begin with a choice of continental or cooked breakfast; to include: cereals, yoghurts, fruit, fresh bread and croissants; a different cooked breakfast daily accompanied by fresh coffee, tea and fruit juice.
On your return from a hard day on the slopes, afternoon tea will await you, with either freshly baked cakes or home made biscuits.
Before dinner is served there will be an opportunity to unwind in front of a roaring log fire with pre-dinner drinks, a choice of canapés, and home-made dips; followed by a delicious four-course evening meal. To accompany dinner we also provide a selection of complementary fine wine, beer and soft drinks.
Your chalet staff have one full day off during the week (usually Wednesday). Continental breakfast and afternoon tea will be left for you to help yourselves. In the evening you will have the opportunity to savour one of the valley’s many restaurants which your chalet hosts will be happy to recommend and book for you, and we’ll even lay on the taxi service to get you there and back. |
