The Sapiniere is arguably the best-located hotel in Chamonix, situated in a quiet location, within a short walk of the resort centre, where the numerous restaurants and bars are within easy reach for you to sample on the staff night off. The Savoy nursery slopes are just over the road from the hotel and the ski hire shop is just a short stroll away.

There's a children's Games Room on the ground floor, aimed at giving children their own place to relax. This will be open during a set period in the late afternoon and early evening, with a range of indoor games and toys, plus a TV/DVD player, so please bring your children's favourite films or cartoons. This is an unsupervised room, so parents will need to keep an eye on their youngsters!

The open area in front of the Sapiniere is another great asset for the children. Regularly used by the Snow Club for snowman building, burn-boarding and other snow-fun outings, it is also ideal for parents wanting to play in the snow with their children, without having to go far from home.

The Sapiniere is just 2-3 minutes' walk across the meadow from the Savoy children's ski area, and one of the resort's two nursery slopes. From the same place, the Savoy teleski whisks parents up to the Brévent telecabine to access one of Chamonix's best ski areas. In addition, the hotel's complimentary minibus service and the resort's free ski-bus for all the lifts, stops just a minute's walk from the Sapiniere, thus adding to your morning's choice.

The hotel's dining room has semi-circular bay windows with the most stunning views of Mont Blanc, and there's also a huge sun terrace offering the same, wonderful mountain views - an ideal spot to round off your ski day with a well-earned drink!

The atmospheric lounge/bar provides the perfect venue for pre-dinner cocktails and canapés, and with the hotel's baby listening service now running till 11pm, parents can also relax over coffee and liqueurs after dining.

The bedrooms offer a range of twins, doubles, triples and family suites with pairs of rooms, several of which take cots and extra beds. All bedrooms are well-appointed, combining tradition and comfort, with en-suite facilities, satellite TV and most have south-facing balconies.

For six days of the week the staff, prepare all your main meals. On their day off, breakfast will still be served to you as normal without however the hot option and that evening you and your family have the chance to eat out in one of the local cafés or restaurants.

Breakfast:
A choice of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, tea and coffee, local bread (and croissants or ‘pains au chocolat’ in France), cold meats, cheeses and preserves, and boiled eggs. This is normally presented buffet-style for you to help yourself. Additionally we offer a daily hot dish, such as scrambled eggs with mushrooms or home-made pancakes.

Afternoon Tea:
The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day on the slopes will be laid out for you; typically tea or coffee and a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake.

Children’s High Tea:
Younger guests are served high tea at about 5.30pm. Supervised by our staff, high tea provides children under 13 with a healthy menu, but tailored more towards children’s tastes than the main adult dinner. Puréed food is available for infants on request. Parents are asked to accompany children under 36 months, whilst children 3-12 years will be supervised by staff.

Adult Dinner:
Our ‘Culinary Choice’ adult dinners comprise five courses, with a choice of menu and complimentary wine for your enjoyment. Children under 13 are not allowed at the adult evening meals.

Special Diets:
Vegetarian options are available if you advise us in advance and other special diets can generally be catered for at a cost of £25 per person per week (giving at least 14 days notice for these). Please advise us at the time of booking.

Our Chalet Wine Selection:
We are very proud of our wine selection which combines crisp and fruity whites with medium to full bodied reds, for a variety of palates. We select our wines in conjunction with a third generation family’s fine wine business.
