Skiing season will be here before you know it and you need to know where the best resorts are! Bansko and Slovenia are packed with awesome ski resorts with great snow coverage for several months. Cheap ski holidays can be put together if you travel at the right time. The beginning and end of ski season are often the cheapest time to ski.

Bankso, Bulgaria

The Bansko Ski Resort offers many outdoor activities including downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding. There are even snowboarding competitions to take part in. The snowboarders will also enjoy the Balkans Fun Park at the resort, where they can build their own board jumps. With good snow coverage from December to May, Bansko is the perfect place for some fun in the snow.

Balestrand, Norway

Balestrand has very expansive skiing in wide open areas, also a great place to Hike and take time to enjoy the wonderful landscape. The Saurdral ski and recreation area is the starting point for the runs and you need to drive 8km from Hoyanger to reach there. The snow conditions and fine and you are starting a run at 600m with a nice 10k to travel. Balestrand ski holidays are great for a different more relaxed Ski and time spend exploring with some Hiking.

Bonhinj, Solvina

Slovenia is home to many ski resorts. The Bohinj ski area is comprised of several resorts that have a total of ninety-two pistes. The artificial snow machines used here will ensure that visitors will be able to enjoy winter activities even during a mild winter. Many of these resorts are within a couple hours drive of an airport, so it is easy to come out for a weekend.
The Bled Ski Resort has ski runs for both beginners and experienced skiiers so the whole family can enjoy this area, whether they have ever been skiing before or not. Bled is known for the beautiful lake that has a church on a central island. The ski slopes face the lake and make for an amazing view while skiing.

Kranjska Gora

Kranjska Gora offers an amazing view while skiing since it borders Triglav National Park. Proximity to the park along with the surrounding forests and nearby view of the Alps make Kranjska Gora a very popular place for both those who ski and those who want to enjoy other outdoor activities. The Kranjska Gora is also home to the Podkoren, a ski run where men compete each year for the Vitranc Trophy.
