About Chamonix Ski Resort

Let us find you the right Chamonix ski chalet, in the right place, at the right price!

Alternatively, browse our website to look for a ski chalet in Chamonix by using the 'Chalet Finder' facility at the top-left of each page. We have over 50 catered ski chalets in the Chamonix Valley, ranging from budget chalets to the top end in ski luxury.

Chamonix's location is awesome, positioned at the foot of Europe's highest mountain, the massive Mont Blanc at 4808 m. Set close to the Swiss and Italian borders, Chamonix's terrain is most suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers and is a magnet for boarders.

The Chamonix valley offers over an amazing 150 km of pistes which is divided into 5 areas, all linked by an efficient bus service, (free with your lift pass). There is an excellent range of blue and red runs, including the high Grands Montets glacier with unbeatable snow.

The off-piste is almost limitless - but be sure to take a guide unless you are really familiar with these mountains. The Vallee Blanche (Europe's longest ski run but officially 'off-piste') is usually open all season. Skied with a guide, it provides 24 km of unforgettable skiing in absolutely stunning scenery.

The cosmopolitan town is always lively with virtually round the clock apres-ski and has a good range of shops, bars, restaurants and other activities so is also a good resort for any non-skiers in a group.

Argentiere lies just 8 km up the valley from Chamonix and is linked by an efficient free bus service (with your lift pass). It is a picturesque village with a bustling atmosphere and a good selection of bars and restaurants.

The village of Les Houches, about 7 km down the Chamonix valley, is quieter and less touristy than Chamonix although it has a rural charm of its own. The village is spread out along a kilometre or so with a small range of shops and restaurants.

The accommodation featured on this website are all in the Chamonix valley; either in Chamonix town itself, or in the nearby villages, for example Argentiere or Les Houches. The locations of the chalets are clearly described on each page.

Our ski holidays in Chamonix include catered accommodation (unless otherwise stated). Return ski flights and ski transfers to Chamonix can be organised if they are not part of the holiday package.
